In what may have been a slip of the tongue, Representative Darrell Issa (Rep-CA) revealed in a Fox News interview that Bruce Ohr’s wife began working to “find dirt on Trump” and try to make connections “with the Russians” as early as 2015.
Up till now, the official line has been that Nellie Ohr didn’t start working for Fusion GPS (the company employed by Hillary’s campaign to dig up dirt on Trump) until March or April of 2016. Some observers say that it seems that Issa now feels free to reveal more of what has been kept behind closed doors with the Senate Intelligence Committee.
The difference in 2015 and 2006 is much bigger than the matter of a year. A contributor to Last Refuge, a conservative media outlet, notes that if Bruce Ohr’s wife did begin working for Glenn Simpson at Fusion GPS in 2015 “the origin of almost all of the corruption seems to consistently circle back to the abuse of the FBI and NSA database which is very much documented.”
Along with what appears to be a certainty that Nellie Ohr began working for Fusion GPS in “late 2015”, the pieces of the puzzle of the famed Steele dossier/Mueller investigation are falling into place. Sources like The Daily Caller and New Republic have suspected for a while that Fusion GPS was one of the contractors that had access to the FBI/NSA database through an operative in the DOJ-National Security Division. Much of the information included in Steele’s now debunked hit piece was paid for through Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
It has become increasingly obvious that Nellie Ohr was hired by Fusion GPS to gain access to her husband, the fourth highest official in the DOJ at that time, and for her own ties to Stefan Halper, the FBI contractor hired to find dirt on Trump operatives.
Security analyst Yaacov Apelbaum reports that “Nellie Ohr knew Stefan Halper since at least 2000. Nellie Ohr also worked in the MITRE Corporation with Halper’s son Marin Halper for six years from 2002-2008.”
What is known for sure is that as one government report puts it, Ohr and Fusion GPS were using the highly sensitive intelligence database “like it was Google.” According to that report, between the Fall of 2015, and late Spring 2016, thousands of search queries were processed with a “non-compliance rate” of 85 percent. That means only 15 percent of the searches were legal.
A Last Refuge contributor name Sundance reports that “evidence is mounting that these illegal database searches were done by groups and individuals affiliated with Fusion GPS and other political networks.”
It is logical to assume that Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPD hired Nellie Ohr as a part of his stop Trump campaign in 2015. That means it is likely Nellie Ohr is beneath the black magic marker lines in the heavily redacted 99 page report released by Congress.
According to Issa, Bruce Ohr testified last week that Fusion GPS paid his wife $44,000 and as The Daily Caller had already reported did not disclose his wife’s Fusion income on his annual ethics disclosure form.
It is highly likely, almost certain, all of this unlawful query activity was political opposition research being conducted by political operatives, agents, and DOJ/FBI affiliates within the apparatus.
Sources familiar with Ohr’s testimony before the House Judiciary and House Oversight Committees said that Ohr informed Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page about his interactions with Steele and Simpson. Ohr also informed Justice Department prosecutor Andrew Weissmann about his dossier-related work.
Weissmann is now serving as second in command to Robert Mueller at the special counsel’s office.
The “dossier” men in Nellie Ohr’s life seem to have attempted to shield her from public scrutiny, even at professional risk to themselves. Her husband failed to disclose his wife’s employment with Fusion GPS and seek the appropriate conflict-of-interest waiver. That is probably the most important factor in his demotion from associate deputy attorney general late last year. Glenn Simpson, co-founder of Fusion GPS repeatedly failed to acknowledge that Nellie Ohr was one of his firm’s paid Russian experts, much less that he hired her for the DNC/Clinton campaign Trump-Russia project.
All of this fails to mention that Nellie Ohr’s Ph.D. thesis is titled “Collective farms and Russian peasant society, 1933-1937: the stabilization of the kolkhoz order” or that she is a long time collectivist/Stalinist apologist.
In the end, all roads lead back to Clinton money paying to concoct a Trump/Russia collusion story written by distinctly pro-socialist players like Nellie Ohr.
