Get ready, America, because the ride toward Civil War 2.0 just got a lot bumpier. In a coordinated fashion that made the Russian collusion conspirators jealous of its smooth execution, Facebook, Apple, Spotify, Google, YouTube and possibly some other tech giants all took Alex Jones’ Infowars offline within a 24-hour period.
The full-blown censorship of patriotic voices that we have been warning about for months is upon us. And if you think for one second that the empty pike next to Alex Jones’ head is not reserved just for you – think again.
As a short aside, nearly every article you’ve read “defending” Alex Jones up to this point begins with a caveat as some Never-Trumper adjusts his bowtie and says, “Ahem, well, you know…” *Sniff* “I personally abhor the wretched Alex Jones, but…”
To all of those quisling cowards: Please shut up. We are in a war for the soul of America and you idiots keep shooting your own side in the back as patriots charge at the enemy. Shut up. (End short aside.)
The first thing that everyone needs to wrap their heads around, right now, is that these tech companies hate us. They hate our ideology, they hate our churches, they hate our guns and they hate our nation. They hate Americans, as proven by their willingness to abuse the visa system to bring in hordes of cheap foreign computer programmers to fill job slots that should have gone to Americans.
These companies and their leadership hate us, they lie to our faces, they lie to Congress, and they do it because they are incredibly wealthy. The Alex Jones takedown is just the first stage of a coordinated leftwing effort to take ALL conservatives off of their platforms before the election. Alex Jones is the precedent – everyone else is the prize.
To the people arguing that, “But, but, but, private companies can do what they want!” You are wrong. Private companies cannot do “whatever they want” no matter how much that sentiment tugs at your libertarian heart strings. Perhaps you would like to live in a world where chefs and waiters are not required to wash their hands after they pee. We’ll take a hard pass on that, thank you very much.
“But, but, but, First Amendment!” This is a free speech issue, not a First Amendment issue. The First Amendment prevents government from limiting our speech. Free speech is a centuries-long custom in America that has been honored until very recently, which asserts that we can’t shut people up just because we don’t like what they say. Alex Jones was not shouting “Fire!” in a crowded theater. He was not standing outside Mark Zuckerberg’s mansion at 3 a.m. and screaming on a bullhorn to keep him awake. Jones was publishing videos and text on Facebook just like everyone else in America.
As legal professor Glenn Reynolds points out, Jones should file an antitrust suit against every single one of these speech-killing, Nazi-like tech companies immediately: “This is more than arguably conspiracy in restraint of trade (and possibly a conspiracy to deprive him of civil rights).”
Americans should be sickened unto death at these smarmy tech weirdoes who are trying to control our thoughts and our speech. Google forces its employees to sit through sensitivity training, so they don’t offend employees who sexually identify as ornate buildings or yellow-scaled wingless dragon-kin.
Facebook allows the most vile, violent and anti-American purveyors of hatred on its platform, including ISIS. Their hypocrisy and transparent double standards create a stench that rivals their home base of San Francisco (which smells like an open sewer ever since the city legalized public defecation).
The deplatforming of Alex Jones is exactly the impetus we need in order to convince Congress to break up these tech monopoly oligarchs. They wield far too much power over our lives and their intentions are clearly opposed to the constitutional freedoms that we know and love as Americans.
Can you name a single traditional “American value” that Facebook, Google, Apple and the other tech giants would be willing to uphold? Sorry, Facebook – we’re going to have to demand that you bake Alex Jones a cake.
